Hi everybody~ It's getting to be that time of year again. I am looking forward to another inspiring year at Rio Del Mar (my 30th!) As you may or may not know, my husband Dave Moorman passed away 2 weeks ago from a heart attack. I am spending the last weeks of my vacation taking care of things and getting my classroom and curriculum ready for this year.
Please be assured that your children will be fine. I take pride in my career and my loss will stay out of the classroom. Going back to work will be uplifting and inspirational to me. On another note, students will need the following supplies:
* a transparent accordion pleated binder/organizer
* a decent set of felt pens( I recommend Pentels)
*colored pencils
*scissors with name attached
* pencil sharpener w/ reservoir
* 2 spiral notebooks
*pencils/pens
* a durable water bottle~ We have a water cooler but no sink. We cannot be sending kids outside all day long for drinks, but students are welcome to use the cooler. Kids need a durable bottle so we are not consuming excessive plastic
*everyone needs to bring in a box of kleenex and a roll of paper towels
* I team teach w/ Mr. Kyle. He will be sending home a note about students needing a memory key for laptop instruction.
